N2Blast: Mission-Critical Nitrogen™ Generators for Dry Fire Protection Systems
The N2Blast Corrosion Inhibiting System is designed to protect fire protection sprinkler systems from corrosion and extend system life. The N2Blast nitrogen generator introduces up to 98.5%+ pure nitrogen into the dry or pre-action fire protection system and displaces oxygen, a key contributor to the corrosion reaction, using the AutoPurge System. The N2Blast effectively inhibits Electrochemical, Galvanic and Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC), as well as sprinkler pipe ice plugs.
- Dual-bed, PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology
- Smart-Trak – Touchscreen control display; remote monitoring with mobile devices (select models)
- Install N2Blast with new sprinkler systems or retrofit an existing system to extend system life
- Manufactured in Wilmington, NC – generators are in-stock, ready to ship

AutoPurge 2 |
AutoPurge 4 |
- Patented, calibrated orifice custom tunes to each individual riser based on its total capacity (gallons), minimizing runtime of N2Blast
- Purges FPS piping to ensure entire system is blanketed with 98%+ nitrogen purity
- No electrical required
- One AutoPurge is required per dry or pre-action system

AutoPurge Timer - 1 Zone |
AutoPurge Timer - 6 Zone |
- Eliminates the continuous venting of the AutoPurge System/s by closing the purge after 98%+ nitrogen (i.e. the desired purity level to inhibit corrosion) has had sufficient time to cycle throughout the FPS
- Purge automatically turns to the “closed” position after 5 weeks (field adjustable)
- Manual reset to resume purging when the FPS is tested or trips

Puerto de muestreo |
- Proporciona una ubicación adicional para comprobar la concentración de pureza del nitrógeno dentro de las tuberías de los aspersores
- One or multiple Sampling Ports can be installed on any zone which already has an AutoPurge System
- No electrical required

Quick-Check 6 Zone Purity Manifold |
- Automatically opens and closes AutoPurge System® to ensure 98% nitrogen purity is maintained within Fire Protection System
- Checks each AutoPurge System for nitrogen purity and flow displays reading on PLC daily
- Ethernet communication included for remote access
- Analog 0-10V, 4-20mA signals available

Portable Nitrogen Purity Sensor |
- Battery-operated, hand-held nitrogen analyzer verifies that desired nitrogen purity is achieved within all zones
- Connects to an AutoPurge System or Quick-Check Sampling Port
- Easy to use one touch calibration
- Automatic Shutoff

Quick-Check 1 Zone Purity Manifold |
- Automatically opens and closes AutoPurge System® to ensure 98% nitrogen purity is maintained within Fire Protection System
- Checks each AutoPurge System for nitrogen purity and flow displays reading on PLC daily
- Ethernet communication included for remote access
- Analog 0-10V, 4-20mA signals available

Quick-Check 10 Zone Purity Manifold |
- Automatically opens and closes AutoPurge System® to ensure 98% nitrogen purity is maintained within Fire Protection System

Quick-Check 20 Zone Purity Manifold |
- Automatically opens and closes AutoPurge System® to ensure 98% nitrogen purity is maintained within Fire Protection System
- Checks each AutoPurge System for nitrogen purity and flow displays reading on PLC daily
- Ethernet communication included for remote access
- Analog 0-10V, 4-20mA signals available
The Corrosion Triangle
Corrosion is a result of three elements coming together; unprotected metal, oxygen and water. Removing the presence of one element, in this case oxygen, disrupts the equation and inhibits corrosion.
UNPROTECTED METAL
Results in a uniform wall-thinning corrosion mechanism in black steel and localized pitting corrosion mechanism in galvanized steel.
OXYGEN ELECTROCHEMICAL POTENTIAL
There is an inexhaustible source of oxygen in compressed supervisory air.
WATER ELECTROLYTES
Comes from residual water and moisture left behind after hydro test.

Extend the Life of a Fire Protection System
Using 98% nitrogen instead of compressed air supervision significantly increases the service life of a fire protection system.
A long-term exposure test found that when comparing compressed air supervision to 98% nitrogen the life expectancy of new systems using black steel pipe increases from 20 years to 63 years, while systems using galvanized steel pipe increases from 10 years to 176 years.
