South-Tek Systems uses Membrane Techology in select Nitrogen gas generation systems and products. A Nitrogen Generator using Membrane Technology has the following characteristics:

  • Least expensive N2 production method
  • High N2 purities, or high N2 volumes at lower purity levels
  • High reliability due to simple airflow design
  • Utilizes lower operating and delivery pressures

Membrane technology in our Nitrogen Generators allows industrial facilities to produce high purity Nitrogen on-site using a safe, reliable, and cost effective process.

What Is Membrane Technology?

Air separation using Membrane Technology occurs when compressed air is forced into a vessel containing a hollow tube in the middle surrounded by a polymeric hollow fiber. These hollow fibers selectively permeate oxygen, water vapor, and other impurities out of its side walls, allowing Nitrogen to flow through its center and emerge as product.

Membrane Technology is used in our N2 GEN Series Compact Nitrogen generators as well as in our BeerBlast™ and TireBlast™ products.
